Terms of Service

1. Overview

Retrace Kit (“Service”) helps developers monitor application errors, aggregate issues, and understand problems occurring in their applications.

The Service includes the Retrace Kit website, dashboard, APIs, SDK, documentation, and related features.

We may update, improve, or modify the Service over time.

2. Accounts

To use Retrace Kit, you must create an account and provide accurate information.

You are responsible for maintaining access to your account and keeping your credentials secure. You are also responsible for all activity performed through your account.

You must notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Plans, usage, and limits

Retrace Kit plans may include limits on projects, stored events, retention periods, API usage, or other resources.

Plan limits and features are described on our pricing page and dashboard.

If your usage exceeds the limits of your plan, certain features may become unavailable, including event ingestion or dashboard access, until your usage is within the limits of your plan or your subscription is upgraded.

We may change pricing or plan features for future billing periods with reasonable notice.

4. Payments

Some Retrace Kit features require a paid subscription.

Subscriptions are billed according to the selected plan unless otherwise stated.

Fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

You are responsible for any taxes or fees required by applicable authorities.

5. Customer Data and SDK

Retrace Kit allows you to send application data through our SDK, APIs, and integrations.

You are responsible for the data you send to Retrace Kit and must ensure that you have the necessary rights and permissions to collect and share this data.

You are responsible for complying with all applicable privacy and data protection laws, including obtaining any required user consents.

Customer Data may include:

• error messages
• stack traces
• breadcrumbs
• application metadata
• session information
• optional user identifiers provided by you

You should avoid sending sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and you have a lawful basis to process and share it.

You grant Retrace Kit permission to store and process Customer Data only to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.

We may use aggregated or anonymized information derived from Customer Data for analytics and service improvement.

6. Data retention

Data retention depends on your selected plan.

If your account is deleted or your subscription ends, Customer Data may be removed according to our retention policies. Backup copies may remain temporarily before being permanently deleted.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use Retrace Kit to:

• violate applicable laws or third-party rights
• send malicious code or harmful content
• access systems or accounts without authorization
• interfere with the security or availability of the Service
• bypass usage limits or technical restrictions
• use the Service for purposes unrelated to monitoring applications you own or are authorized to support

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or abuse the Service.

8. Third-party services

Retrace Kit may use third-party services, including infrastructure providers, authentication providers, payment processors, cloud hosting providers, and notification services.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Retrace Kit is not responsible for the availability or performance of third-party services.

9. Intellectual property

Retrace Kit, including its software, SDK, dashboard, documentation, branding, and related materials, is owned by Retrace Kit.

We grant you a limited license to use the Service and SDK for monitoring applications you own or are authorized to manage.

You may provide feedback or suggestions about Retrace Kit. We may use such feedback to improve the Service.

10. Service availability

We work to keep Retrace Kit reliable and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.

The Service may be affected by maintenance, technical issues, or failures of third-party infrastructure.

Retrace Kit is a monitoring tool and should not be used as the only mechanism for ensuring application availability, security, or compliance.

11. Termination

You may stop using Retrace Kit and request deletion of your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, create security risks, or fail to pay applicable fees.

12. Limitation of liability

Retrace Kit is provided "as is" and "as available".

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Retrace Kit is not responsible for indirect damages, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or other consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us during the previous twelve months or US$100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia.

Any disputes related to these Terms or the Service will be handled according to the applicable laws and courts of Georgia, unless mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If material changes are made, we will update the Effective Date and may notify users through the Service or by email.

Continued use of the Service after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
